Ok so I just found out about the awesome prices at aquatrader. Its a lot cheaper than ahsupply. My question is should I go with high lighting at 4W/gallon with this 192W fixture:
192W Fixture

Or 2W/gallon with this 96W fixture:
96W Fixture

Can you grow about anythign with high light or do a lot of low-moderate light plants don't do well with high light? I'm a newbie with plants so I'm thinking I should try to go with lower light at first. I do plan on doing co2 injection too.

Also these all come with 12000k bulbs which I think is to high for freshwater? I thought 6700k was better?

Oh thanks. Maybe I'll stick with my original idea of going with ahsupply :) .

A not so recent order.

On the 10th december of last year, I ordered 2 24" lights fixture from Aquatraders because of their cheap price of course.

When the fixture got here, one ofbulb the light s was broken. That's when the mess started. I emailed them and explained the problem. They told me that if I wanted a exchange UPS would pick up the fixtures from my place but if I wanted a refund I would have to send it myself.

Anyhow I emailed them again saying I wanted an exhange and most of the time it took days for them to email me back and I do mean more than 48 hours as it says on their website.

To make a long story short, I told them that I wanted a refund(originally I was going for an exchange). So this is what they did, they sent me a label from UPS (supposely already paid for 16 lbs. of equipment), this according to them will be deducted from the money they have to pay me back, and I believe it's quite a lot since it's being shipped from VA to CA. On top of that I had to pay for packaging since the one they had sent the light fixtures in was falling apart when it got here and I had thrown it away.

The returning lights fixture is supposed to arrive in CA by Tuesday 24th of this month. I wanna if they'll try to screw with me.

I dunno if 260W is too much light for a 55g tank densely planted, but I did like the way the light made my tank look.

I intend to buy a different fixture from them but that will depend on how they handle the current problem. What can I do? Let's wait and see what happens.....
