has anyone actually seen what these "benificial bacteria look time....(ie on a rock surface or something)

how can one see bacteria without a powerful microscope !! anyway....i appreciate ur curiosity.

What tou can see in the rocks are normally 3 things:

- mulm, or fish dirtinnes
- moss
- algae.

Bacteria can only be seen in a microscop.e
