hello everybody ..

i have a problem
i have a 30g with 20 small fishs ,10clouds and 10neon but i am wondering would the angels go crazy becase they are such slow moving fish with all these small tiny fish darting around everywhere it even makes me dizzy seeing it

i would of thought the wihte clouds and the neons would shoal but there everywhere they dont even shoal they actaully play with each other yes white clouds and neons as if there the same type and i guess it didnt come out as i would of imagined.. could i some how make them shoal spereatly or acutally make them shaol

to begin with, your tank is too small for angel fish. second, angel fish love to snack on neon tetras and will reduce your population to zero given sufficient time. you're not seeing much schooling because your tank is too small for two groups of ten schooling fish. the result is busy, busy, busy.

Dont agree.... Angels are fine with neons... the Angel have to be 6" or more in order to swallow a neon and in most cases they couldn't be bodered.... 30 Gallons is a bit Small for the Angels and 2 Schools....

Another reason they arent schooling is because they have no reason to. When a larger fish is added to the mix they will tend to stay close and school together.

Never say never. I have in my 100g a 4" Angel that grew up with 30 Cardinal Tetras. I have about 15 left and know it was him that ate them because I saw him do it.

However........ I doubt I would have 15 left if they were in the 30g with my 7" Scalare.
I have noticed Scalare to be more aggresive to other species than Altum, and Altum to be more aggressive to other angels.

My old Angel ate all my neon tetras one by one, and it took him a bit to eat any food that I would give him after that. :thud:

hmmm

i think i better get rid of one school maybe the white clouds and if i ever do see some neons missing ill take the angels out could i replace them with pearl gourmais? they look pretty cool
