LFS Question

Mine gives less than half. I brought in what they considered a large pleco (~6") and they gave me a $10.00 credit, expecting to sell him for $24.00. Common plecos are really popular around here.
Mine only gives 1/3 credit and you have to bring in a water sample.

I'm not sure how much my LFS gives for fish but they give out around 25% on plants. Which is fine since it's something I would have to throw away anyways.
Getting 50% isn't bad at all, especially if it's fish you've reared yourself.

I dont know how much they sell for, but our LFS gave us 6$ credit for a violet goby and a 6 in red tailed shark.. another LFS traded us our 6 in rainbow shark for 2 tiny little albino rainbow sharks
Think of it as your being the supplier, rather than the fish truck, when you bring a fish or plant in for credit. Since it's retail, cost is always marked up.
