quaranteen? what am i looking for ?

Ive learned here that quaranteening new fis is a good idea
i have 5 small angel fish and three gold guarami in this tank ..how long should i leave thme here and what am i looking for ? I know what ich looks like but thats about it
any help is appreciated

Everybody has their own ideas about how long to quarantine, but basically the longer the better (within reason). I would consider two weeks a bare minimum in most cases, with three to four weeks being much better. Just watch for any signs of illness or abnormal behavior. Make sure the fish are eating well (and passing waste) and are all-around healthy. Remember that the longer you quarantine your fish, the more time you will have to catch any diseases before they enter your main tank(s).
