Would this work on plywood instead of an epoxy?

In a plywood aquarium, could linouleum or vinyl flooring be used to waterproof the plywood?
 
Don't think it's a good idea...you'd still have to seal the edges, and I wouldn't be totally sure that it would be "waterproof". We've found that fibreglass matting and resin are still the best for sealing plywood tanks.

No it wont work as the back of linoleum has a cardboard material that will not hold water if there is any little imperfection in the flooring material .
