I have 2 ghost shrimp who seem to have made their from my 180g to the sump. I've tried to catch them with no success. I don't want to take my sump down for 2 measly shrimp.

Should I leave them?

Can you keep a snail or two in the sump to clean things up?

i have 2 young amanos that i find their way into my power filter periodically

i don't see why they shouldn't be alright in there, but i'm not familiar with the sump filter either.

As long as they are getting food they should be ok. Also you've got to make sure they can't get pulled into your pump.

I once had a ropefish living for four days in my sump. If you want to leave them there, make sure they get food and they are protected form the pump intake.

Thanks. My pump is a Supreme Mag Drive 18and it has a foam prefilter covering the intake to the pump.

My RCC has taken over my in tank filter as his home. I only see him about once a month when he comes out to hunt larger prey than the snails that breed in the filter. I assume he like the current, and he seems happy there.
