in my tank i have 2 jacks, 2 blood parrots and a bristle nose pleco. My problem is that every time i drop a alge waffer into my tank the other fishes go crazy and start eating the waffer and if the pleco even goes near the waffer one of the fishes would just carry it somewhere else. :help:

how big is the tank? feeding the cichlids and getting them full, then dropping in an algae wafer or two out of their sight as best you can should get them to the bottom. you can also distract the cichlids (possibly with food) at the opposite end of the tank from the pleco, then drop an algae wafer or two so they fall as close to the pleco as you can get, that way he should get them before the cichlids know it hit the water.

Simply feed him cucumbers they like them better than alage wafers anyhow, I bet the cichlids will leave that alone.
You might also try feeding the pleco after dark or early in the AM while the cichlids are more or less asleep.
