i have well water right now and it is hard alkaline with a ph of about 8.2 which is perfect for my cichlids. i am moving to an apartment that has city water that i am sure will be a bit softer,i heard i can harden the water by adding baking soda,is this true? i dont wanna hurt my fish but i also dont want them to die from the water. i live in an area with a walmart and local fishstore but not much else .
