It is most likely a type of flying insect larvae and healthy for your fish. Your main risk is the danger of it having a parasite or bacteria that could harm your fish. I would not worry too much though, it sounds like they are comming from a good source. I feed all my fish aquatic bugs from the canal in my backyard with no problems. Almost all are some sort of flying insect larvae.

On another note I had alocal water scorpion (http://www.nanfa.org/akiweb/163.JPG) live in my 30 Gallon tank for almost a year. I had to feed the thing bugs just like it was a fish.

You might find your insect here. (http://www.nanfa.org/akiweb/INVERTEBRATES.html)

If they don't have an image try typing the name in Google and see what comes up.
