Well, last week, i had my PH crash (went from 7.2 to 5.3 in a day and ahalf)

never the less, killed all my fish but 3, and i brought in those 3 to my local fish store, and they saved them.

but, i'm converting my tank to an african cichlid tank

i got some rocks today, and tomorrow i'm going to drain 75% of my water (to do a little mini cycle) and set up some rocks. then after my water is back to normal, get some cichlids (my local fish store is awseom with fish, they will help me out alot, as well as i hope this place will)

i'm sure i will be on here asking questions, as i don't want my cichlids to die when i get them!

any tips would be awsome

I would start with a full break down and cleaning of the tank. A crash like that is often caused by a poor balance to begin with. If your tap water has no or little natural buffers, again leading to a crash, Africans probably aren't your best pick. If you're set on Africans, be sure to load the tank with a good buffering substrate and be prepared to treat your water for water changes.
