whats a good fertilizer for java fern, corkscrew vals, and dwarf onions? I dont want something too complicated or expensive as Im a poor college student :read:

I have a 12g nano with guppies, various algae eaters/ snails, and soon to have cherry shrimp. thanks.

Maybe flourish? And flourish excel if you don't have co2 injection? There are flourish root tabs that you only have to put in every 8 months or so. But these things all serve different purposes.

I'm new to ferts too. I think I'm going to do flourish, root tabs, and co2 injection to start. Then slowly add iron and all the other things.

That thread is sort of scary at first.

Can you just buy the flourish line of products like Flourish, Flourish Nitrogen, Flourish Potassium, Flourish Phosphurus, Flourish Iron, and Flourish Root Tabs? They seem to fit many of the categories in the sticky...

A 12 gallon? Well, whoever is sending you shrimp should just send you a little of their dry ferts along with the shrimp. It wouldn't add much to the shipping, wouldn't take up much space, and a little would go a loooong way.

You should have it (KNO3, KCl, Plantex CSM+B by Wednesday or Thursday...oh yeah, and the shrimp too ;) )

The PO4 you can get as Fleet Enema from the grocery store. It's cheap! Hey, you can't expect everything for free :p:  :joke:
