I recently found some cool old bricks at the beach that look to be fairly old and have plenty of nice crevaces where my shrimp and frog would hide safely. Are the bricks safe to use? Im assuming so, after boiling them in regular water. If anybody knows why I shouldnt add them, specifically dangerous chemicals that may come from them, please let me know.

Also, I was told that any wild plant that grows in a freshwater stream or lake may be added to my tank if I treat it with a bacterial + fungal solution. Is this true? My beach has some really nice rocks with algae or seaweed (i know, strange that most people try to avoid getting this stuff in their tanks and i'm looking to add it..) So if I could add those it would be great, after treating of course.

My last question is this- my catfish and frog cannot be introduced to certain fugal treatments, etc.. once ive treated the plants and rocks will the formula be diluted enough not to damage my little ones?

what kind of a beach did you get it from? I was wondering because I was once givin the advice to not add something that I found in the ocean because of the leaks of diesel the larger ships can sometimes have. Not so sure if it was the right advice, but in a way it made sense to me since it was a big navy town where many frieghtliners came in and out of...
