I've just got some plants for my 55 Gal tank. Most/all plants require a 2.5-3.0 watts. Which fixture should I get.
48" 130 watts from www.Bigalsonline.com. That gives me about 2.3 watts per gallon.

Price=$99.99 (Free Shipping until Feb, 15)

48" 260 watts from www.Aquatraders.com. That gives me
4.7 watts per gallon. Too much light?
Price= $109.80 plus shipping.

Which one would YOU get?

Thank you for your responses in advance.

If ti were me Id go for the 260watt double the light for not much more. But beware more light means you will probably need co2 and ferts if you dont have them already. You will also need more then suual since you are using High light. Its all up to you. Also Ive been told that the bulbs in the fixtures from aquatraders burn out within a few months so be ready to replace them.

Well for substrate I have Eco-complete. Four bags of them in my 55 Gal.

I also have one of the Hagen's CO2 reactor. I know one isnt enough. I plan to use another one.

I would not have a problem with replacing the lights from Aquatraders. I have used one of their fixtures before. I like the way it looked, especially with the LED lights. On the other hand, the other fixture other fixture looks dull, especially the Moon Lights.

But still dunno it really would be a good idea to have a 260watt fixture over a 55gal tank. How much is too much light?
