View Full Version : Catching Chromis or Damsels
Does anyone have a good way to catch these little suckers when you have a tank full of rock? That is without dismantling the tank and rocK?

Chromis should be easy. Get a clean/clear container like a gallon bottled water jug and cut it in half. Attach some strings to it. Lower it in the water and put some food in the jug. As the fish get in to eat, lift the jug up. You might want to feed a few times to get them used to it before you try to catch them.
Damsels won't be so easy....

I think I have tried every type of home made trap out there.....no avail. Those devil fish have evaded everything. So I bit the dust and ordered a fish trap and will try that.......grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr..... :rant2:
Once out it is back to the lfs with them.
