i know i made the mistake of buying it before i knew that but anyways im looking at new tanks already. Do you know at what point he will get too big for my tank?
Do you have plants? Some snails get really big (apple snails). Many will devour plants. But for the most part smaller snails can be beneficial to a tank. However some are asexual so will multiply pretty quickly.
YIKES!! i didnt realize that, do you think bringing it back will be a problem? I really am getting pissed off it seems like none of these people at the stores know what is actually right for my tank!!!!!! :mad2: Could you guys recommend a bottom feeder that wont out grow my tank in two weeks. THANKS BUD for the advice!!
Corys are great. I recomend a pair of them. The reason those people are selling you fish that are not good for your tank is because either they don't know much about fish or just don't care and are out to make a buck.
Oto catfish. They get to 2" I believe and like to be in groups of 3. Corys dont' get big but they like to be in a school of 6 or more. Some varieties of Pleco's dont' get big but they are a little rarer and you would have to research them.
I wouldn't trust anyone in a fish store. You can trust your own research though.
Out of curiousity, I have a couple of small albino plecos in my 55 gallon. I know that plecos can get HUGE, but do they all grow quickly? Mine have grown very little in the months I've had them. I supplement their diet with bottom feeder wafers and they seem to be quite healthy and sprite.
Thanks,
Mary.
