Why do bettas make bubbles at the top of the tank? I read something a minute ago about bubbles before spawning. Do they do it to get ready to breed? (I only need one reply please).

Yes the male bettas tend to the eggs and thats where they keep them after a male and a female ... well you know. 
A lot of people say when bettas build these nests they are contend... "happy".
