What in the holy heck are these things? The mislabeling in that place makes me want to throw on an apron and do it myself!

The best description I can offer is that it is has a very elongate body shape with a fin resembling that of a common bowfin -common in Illinois- and reminds me of those snakeheads that have been giving Maryland problems lately. Could Sprawl-Mart be dumb enough to market such an ecologically dangerous species to people who'd be content to throw one in the backyard pond when it gets big? *headache*

at my local walmart, they call that fish the dinosaur fish, and it is the fish of the month.

80 gallon minimum tank, grows to 18 inches, and needs slightly brackish water? walmart's description mentions none of the above. :duh:

Dinosaur eels are usually Polypterus senegalus at least at Petsmart and petco
violte gobies are often labeled as dragon eels
