I just got a new fish. All I know about it is that it's called a reed fish. Looks like a snake with wings. I love the way it looks and I want to know more about it but I can't find any info on it anywhere under the name reed fish is there a more common name for it. Please HELP!

Most likely a birchier. Check out the above, and then search on the scientific name (google, etc).
You can check out the polypterus (bichirs) but I'm thinking Erpetoichthys calabaricus/snakefish/reedfish. Check them out and let us know. Best of luck!

Make sure that you treat it for flukes...this is a pretty common problem with ropes.
