6" Buttikoferi in a 75g tank with a 10" pleco. 82degree water..weekly 40%water changes, two whsiper 5's, gravel no plants. vary his diet between flakes, bloodworms, earth wroms..dried krill turkey and pellets...he doesnt seem to be growing at all...what can i do to make him a beast..or atleast look like hes gaining some pounds..thanks
 
Butterboys pretty much grow their whole lives. After about 6" inches though its just about an 1/2 inch to 3/4 inch a year.
 
keep it up with the krill and start feeding it algae wafers, Buttikoferi eat mostly algae in the wild. Do more frequent waterchanges if you do it once a week try twice. They do slow up in the growing process after a while but not as dramatic as posted above. At about the size you have you will notice it will relaly color up on its fins and lips. mine even has a nice copper color on its gill plates, and the lips will thicken and start to really stand out and the fish will bulk up around 8" or so.
