I currently have a 65 Gal tank that has a 3" Blue Dempsey, a 2" Jack D, 6 Congo tetra's and a couple clown pl*cos.
I also have a 33 Gal with 6 small Honduran Red Points. Eventually, once I get a pair that produce fry, the rest of them will be going back to the fish store.
A friend of mine got some Thorichthys ellioti in and asked if i would like a few. I would love to try to get a breeding pair but I don't have another tank for them. What I am thinking is maybe I could take my regular Jack D back and add a few of the Ellioti's in the 65 Gal with my Blue Dempsey. I definitely don't want my BD to get hurt in any way though. Anyone think this is a good idea? Again, once a pair forms, I will take back any extra Ellioti's.
I am also guessing that the 33 gal is not big enough for a pair of HRP's and a pair of Ellioti's but let me know if you think that may work.
Any advise about this species is greatly appreciated!
