I plan on doing a water change and gravel vacuuming this weekend and i have a question for you guys. Would adding gravel to a set up tank be bad for the fish, and also would that mess with my water conditions? I was tight on money when setting up the tank and i just want to add a little more gravel to cover up some air lines and make things look better over all.

Adding gravel isn't going to harm the fish and it's not going to affect your water as long as it's inert. If you add something like crushed carbonite or crushed coral, it'll affect your chemistry. If it's regular old run-of-the-mill gravel it won't. It's a pain in the butt to add gravel to a tank that's set up though. The fish seem to always try to get in the way.

are there any sort of tricks to make this easier? i was just going to put the gravel in a cup and dump it where i want it to go... THANKS GUYS!
