Is the green alge that plant growing lights grow bad for the fish
or the tank conditions?????????????////// or is it just the mess that people dont like.
Because i like the natural look of the alge.
Also I have 2 hanging 125W plant lights that are agraculture not aquarium.
They do just fine for my plants that have ben happy for 1 months.
It dose not look as nice as the floral lights it gives my tank a green
look but the water is not.

YA my tank is a 100gal 24"deep.
I have community plants thet I bought at a pet supplie plus store

The algae doesn't poss a major problem with fish. But I don't think they particularly care for it. would you?

But it does cause problems for your plants. Eventually the algae will out compete the plants for nutrients thereby killing them.

One way to get rid of green spot algae is to drain the tank, wipe the sides clean with a paper towel, and repeat a week later. Eventually they will go way. Some algae is okay, if you like the look, but too much can become an issue.

As for the agricultural grade bulb...not sure..but if you think it's working go for it. Just know that plants can store and use their nutrients for awhile, and then start showing deficiencies. But it sounds like the bulbs will be good enough. The 6500k-10000k range is best for plant growth.
