So, according to some posts I have read, mono argentus are supposed to turn black when stressed. However, my seem to do the opposite. The lose all pigment ( and apparently their eye sight in the process), essentially becoming ghost-like. Would someone please explain this? Is it the result of chemical sensitivity? Or just that they miss me since it always happens when I go out until 4 in the morning? ( just kidding )
Thanx

I think this should be posted in the Brackish Fish forum. Monos are brackish water fish.

Hey! the same thing happens with mine! What kind of monos do you have? How long is the light on during the day and how long is it off at night? My two monos do the same thing only they hide behind plants near my heater and get kinda jumpy. They do it when i turn on the light after it has been off all night or if i forget to turn it on during the day. They are probably still asleep and just get kinda freaked out because their surroundings just got changed suddenly.
