hybrid blood parrot losing color?

You bought a baby fish and he/she is beginning to change to its adult colors. Believe me, it is going to look great once it completes the color change.

Here is what mine looked like when I got him:

yup mine are going through the mottled stage .. well 2 are .. they look like the bopsy twins ..lol.. the other 2 are just fadeing from black to a slight orange .. they look like twins ...lol.. i absolutly love them .. they were so scared when i got them about 3 weeks ago . now they will eat from my hands one will come up and nestle in my hand peck at my fingers swim through my hands again and i actually pet her.. then she gets a treat of Krill .. they remind me of lil puppy dogs ... :) i love them ..

or they could have been dyed
 
if they have been dyed they would be pink, green, purple, yellow .. not black .. black is when they are young .. they are NOT dyed..

With the stripes (babies) the remind me of Convicts. They turned out beautiful.
 
Thats because they are hybred with sevrons or convicts (ok dont flame me if you disagree, there is a lot of argument about what was crossed with what and im no geneticist so this is just from my reading)
