First Casualty

First tank stocked for about a month now (see signature). Had our first loss. One of the Ghost Shrimp up and died. Not sure of the cause. Water parameters are fine and the other Shrimp is fine. The fish are fine as well. Maybe it was just his time. How long do these guys live anyway?

Ghost shrimp are pretty short lived. If your other fish are doing ok then I wouldn't worry about it to much. Shrimp can also be pretty sensitive to water quality but if your others are doing ok then it might have been its time to go.

I have heard that ghost shrimp will live for a year or so at most, but I'm sure most shrimp dont see that. I dont really think you should be heartbroken either, because here at my LFS they're $.20 a pop.
