I have a 10 gallon top fin tank. I was wondering if I could just put salt water in it and change the filter and use the old filter system. it is an aquatec system. It is currently a freshwater tank but I would like to make a nano reef setup out of it for next year. If it is not possible what is the best nano reef tank. I am looking for it to be around 10 or 15 gallons since I am I college student. thanks,

It would be a good Idea to upgrade the lighting and maybe add a power head but,
yes you can use that filtration system. with a new filter of course, and you know you will be starting from scratch you will have to cycle all over again.
If you haven't already, do some research on Nano's you have to be very diligent on your water parameters.
