Disappearing Ghost Shrimp

Hi,

I'm new to this sort of thing but last week I bought 2 ghost shrimp to help keep the tank clean which initially seemed quite active. They tended to stay together but after a weekend away, I could only find one which has since disappeared. I've bought 2 more today but I'm not sure if this is a mistake yet.

Do they tend to disappear or it is more likely they are dead. I have a large community tank with a range of tetras (neons, glow lights, red eyed), a couple of molllies, cories, rasboras, rainbows and 5 x dwarf gouramis as the largest fish in the tank.
 
Ghost shrimp are usually sold as food.And are a basic part of many species diet-Anne
 
The mollies or DGs probably ate it and will the others.

I bought 10 for my tank as food and after a week I still had 1 left. Good at hiding I guess. I haven't seen him today so either he was eaten or is hiding again.
 
I bought 4 Ghost Shrimp last week, and for a couple of days I could find them hanging about on my plants. Then they disappeared...

I haven't seen them now for a couple of days, and I didn't realy think anything in the tank was big enough to munch them, but would a Dwarf Gourami eat them? or a small Clown Loach?
 
I bought 20 ghost shrimp two weeks ago. I lost three while acclimating them, one also jumped out of my tank. I put six in my 10g and the rest in my 55g. I'm fairly certain that there are not 11 left in my 55g but there are some left (I have caves and lots of plants). The interesting thing about my 10g is that there are six shrimp that are living with my male betta and I haven't lost a single one yet. He tried to eat them and they attacked him, so he a little scratched up. I haven't seen him go after them since.

I would think that if my betta could eat them, a DG could also.
