Heaters for a 225g tank

Should I use 2x 300watt heater or 2x500watt heater for my 225g tank including a 40g+ sump?
 
if it were me personally i would go with the 2 500 watt heaters so they wouldnt have to work as hard which in turn should prolong the life span of the heater.
 
Jason is right. The more powerful 500 watt heaters will have to run less to produce the same amount of heat. That means they'll last longer, and probably have less of an effect on your electric bill.
