Will adding some live plants in the middle of cycling my tank mess up my cycle???

Right now Ammonia is at 4ppm and Nitrite is at .25ppm.

Cycling always goes more smoothly in a planted aquarium, though people sometimes envisage plants as competitors for the nitrogen.
