Hi all

I'm thinking of getting a Pearsi to go with my two Oscars. I've heard that the Pearsi is a gentle giant. Has anyone had an experience with this as both my Oscar's are big softies. Also i was thinking of a Black Belt or a Texas as an alternative but i think they may be a bit too aggressive?

The Oscars are currently in a 144g tank with no other tankmates.

Any opinions or experiences are welcomed...

are u set on another cichlid? or are u lookin for a tank mate for your oscars? may i suggest a nice catfish? i hate to mention a pleco because they are such dirty fish but some ppl really like them. i wouldnt be so sure your oscars are so gentle they may just surprise u if u add a texas or a black belt cichlid to your tank. what kind of substrate do u have. if u have really small gravel or sand maybe a nice eartheater. i really do like the geophagus jurupari's. just some suggestions.

I forgot to mention that i already had a bottom feeder in the tank. A 7" Synodontis Eupterus.

I used to have a 4" Blood Parrot in with my Oscar's and he used to beat up on them pretty bad. Considering my Oscars are 9" and 7" i'd say that makes them big softies.

I really wanted to add one or two more cichlids, preferably central american. I like the looks of the Pearsi and Black Belt but wanted to ensure they would be compatible first.

Oh and the tank is 144 uk gallons which is like 175 us gallons.
