I melted my fish log last night :( . Yup it was stupid, I left it on the stove and proceeded to cook a pizza in the oven. The next thing I know the spine glue melted and the back was melted. I really liked the little book it was in too. When I go home today I'm going to have to see if the spine rehealed itself and if I'm still able to open it (hoping!). Otherwise I'm going to have to try and recopy everything out or just start over.

I've been doing a lot of stupid things lately. This morning I stopped at a green light :o . How embarrasing... I usually do this sort of thing in groups so I'd better be on the watch-out.
 
Hehe, It always bugs me how long it takes for a stop sign to turn green. :D

That sucks, but at least you didnt burn down the house :eek:

And I was wondering what a fish log was at first........and how it could melt. Plastic decoration you were boiling? Ummm a fish flavored cheese log? OOOOHHHHH a log book :rolleyes:
 
:D it was clear in my head! It wasn't even the burner that was on, just the oven, I guess I didn't anticipate how hot the top of the stove gets...
 
hehe, fishy that's funny because it took me a couple minutes too. First I read through rather quickly and wondered why jedi kept her fish on the stove.... then I read it better and wondered why she placed a plastic tree log on the stove and why it had a spine, falling back to the fish theory..... slowed down a bit and thoroughly read the thread and figured what she meant. Goes to show you just how much info is lost when just skimming the threads, hehehe.

Anyhoot.... jedi, sorry about the log book... was anything salvaged at all?

OMGosh...LOL...! In only takes a second to do something brainles....er...silly like THAT !!....and I should know ! Stupid things like that happen to me all the time !!!

Emg - No offense at all, the way you said it made me LOL! I do things like that all the time. I'm very clumsy and accident prone and absent-minded and everything else. We just don't always get it on video.....
 
Hehe yah. I do stuff in clusters. Well it turns out my book is fine (yay!). The glue hardened again and it works fine. The back just looks a little crappy as it had some kind of plastic coating that melted and rehardened a little wierd but still writable, still can turn pages, and still readable.

Now where is it? I think its back on the stove :o .

I passed a RED light about two months ago and thank God I only got some screaming from an old lady reminding me of my mother.

Just remembered the day (about 6 years ago) I got a fax and threw to the trashcan. The next day, I needed it and since it was full of wrinkles I heated up the iron and ended up with a black page. :duh:

I always blame the kids for those brainless moments...lol....I find myself staring into space trying to think of a word that I just KNOW I used to know once apon a time BEFORE I had kids ! Sad...so sad to see it all slip away..and at such a young age too....tsk tsk... :sim:
