dEAD kuhli!!???!!!

hey guys a kuhli loach mysteriously died at like 4:30. :sad: i saw it laying on its back this morning but didnt think much of it. :sick: later when i checked about an hr later, it was doing fine. :sim: when i got back from school, it was living its final moments. what caused this death?? :huh: it was one of 4 other kuhlis in my tank and no its not a new tank. it been running for like 7 months. any IDEAS??? :idea:

What are your water parameters?

It could just have reached the end of its life.

Another one is dead??? it started swimming reaLLY fast in cirlces it seemed like it couldnt control its body movement. like it was permantly frozen but kept swimming. another is doing the same im pretty sure its next. but the other seems perfectly fine.

That disease is a slow progression with visible bodily changes. Your circumstance sounds more sudden. You've lost 3 of 4 in the last 24hrs? You said the tank is about 7 months old, have you had the kuhli's most of this time? Any recent changes to your maintenance? What are your water parameters?

I bought a batch of kuhli loaches and all of them died this way except for one. The one that lived was also spinning and seeming to have no control of his body movements, just like the ones that didnt make it. I moved him out of my main tank and after a couple days he was normal. I dont know what happened, I didnt do anything different nd I treat the tank with anything. Now he is back in my main tank and doing great. I want to get him some more kuhli loaches but I dont want to buy 6 fish to only have one survive. I have heard that bad batches of kuhli loaches are going around so this may just be part of that.

Man, its officially Game over. the last one died yesterday. i took them back to Petco to get a refund. they checked my parameters with my water sample... they said everythign was perfect. right after that i went to petsmart i found ayoyo's for $2.99; pretty cheap.
when i went to pay for they lady said 81, i was like what? 81 dollars? and they said cents. and that was incuding tax.. YESSS ima go back later this week to get at least 2 more.
