I have a 55 gallon tank i added bio-spira and cholrine remover and one 4 inch albino oscar last night today the readings are.

ammonia .50
nitrate 20
nitrite 0
hardness 75
alkalinity 80
ph 7.2

Does it seem like its working? what should i be looking for next?

The oscar seems happy so far :)

If the bio-spira wasn't properly refridgerated, it would die and be useless, which would mean there is no completed cycling as yet and thus no nitrites.

If that were the case, and there are no nitrates in his tap water, then he wouldn't be showing nitrates.

What "chlorine remover" did you use?

Tony -- sorry I did not get to your PM. I have a few sitting in my inbox that I have not had time to respond to as yet. It's not you. Just lack of time on my part.

Should i still be able to cycling the tank and keep my oscar alive threw the cycle? even if the bio-spira doesent work?

Everything still the same no nitrites yet. A little nitrates and ammonia seems to be the same as well.
