Has anyone made any of their own type of rocks for their aquarium or anything to help aquascape it? I saw one guy who made the lava rock background which was amazing and i was wondering if anyone else has any pictures of anything like that that they have done. :read:

Dont know what kind of fish you are using it for.... but this site http://www.cichlid-forum.com/articles/diy_list.php has some neat ideas for fish that like caves like cichlids. Has neat rock landscaping ideas.

So i found one idea that may be best for me . . .

"I buy lava rock and large, pebbled rocks in bulk from places like Lowes or Home Depot. To clean the rocks, I bleach and boil them. Then using aquarium-safe silicone, I glue them all together in a way that creates caves, arches, or pillars. I let them dry and instantly! a new breeding territory!"

The only problem im having is the whole bleaching part. I thought it was a bad idea to use any kind of bleach on anything you will be ading to the tank?!
And btw, this is all going to be for a 30gal SW tank.

I actually sell rocks with caves but will be happy to give you pointers if you give me more info on what you would like to see.
