Well, in the past couple weeks I have hads some huge losses. thoose include my 7" blood parrot, 5" sevrum(filter broke without be knowing), 5" wheater loach (fell down sink), mudskipper (unknown), convict breeder pair, green terror (sold). but I have also gained fish. A 10" king kong blood parrot ($20), red devil ($00.05), 3" shovelnose ($7), and just today, a 5" bicher ($12). I have been moving around my tanks, doing 100 percent water changes, and so on. and withina week will be no longer overstocked whatsoever. my cichlid 55 is back running. After the mudskipper died I put the 2 crabs and turtle inthe 10 gallon, so the 40 Long is now free for fish. I still need to drain the other 55 and restock it but am making some huge progress. I nolonger have plans for a flying gecko. What do you think??? :hang:

If the mudskipper was in with a turtle, that might be the first clue. Also, aren't mudskippers supposed to be brackish? That might be a second clue.

I feel sorry for a turtle stuck in a 10 gallon tank.
In my opinion he probably needs rescued. :(

If its a hatchling it will be alright for maybe 3 months..but I definitely agree with you, unless its one of the more exotic species, its going to need at least 55-75 gal. My guess is its either a RES or a painted of some sort, they're the most commonly available....

Sorry, but you are still WAY over-stocked. I feel sorry for your fish and especially sorry for that turtle.

Sorry Genral 72 but why would you even take time to type that???
For the Mudskippers I have always wanted to try those so if anyone has any info please let me know.
Thanks

While I cant agree you are no longer overstocked, at least you are trying. Had you not gotten the KKBP (hey did you ever find out the mix or reason it is a KK?) I would say the 55 would have been in good shape. I noticed the 40 tall is labled "holding tank" but it seems a bit crowded, and I assume you will be dispersing those fish into the already running tanks. I worry where they will go, but you seem to br making an attempt at lowering your stock, so kudos

the horsehead didn't take well to the move...R.I.P.:(Almost all of them are going into the 55. There are still plans for a 125, but I have been hoping for a 180 to turn up as I have been wanting to try arowanas. the turtle is only the size of a silver dollar. he will get a 30 gal. in the summer.
P.S. Love my new bicher :D :D :D
