I bought a used running tank with a lot of algea build up? What is the best way to clean it? I tried wiping it down but it won't come off. There's green algea and some red coraline aglea.
i always use a razor blade and some good old fashion elbow grease. it takes time but i can make a used glass tank look new again with just a razor blade.
No...But you'll want to siphon out as much of the stuff you scrape off as you can, or it will drop to the substrate and decay. I wouldn't use any chemicals or additives, as they may change the water parameters. Elbow grease is additive free.
