I have a female betta in a 10 gallon tank with 4 corys and a pleco. I would like to get 1 more fish that will stay in mid to high water level. What would go good in this setup?

before i recomend you adding any fish to your tank i must know what variety of pleco you have

Its a common pleco but I'm getting rid of it soon as my friend gets his 50 gal. set up.

a pair of platys might fit- however you're going to be pushing your bioload even when the pleco is gone

Its always a crap shoot with bettas. I have had four, and only one was OK in a comunnity tank. The rest harassed, and sometimes killed cory cats and platies. Depends on the betta. Some have had great luck with them, but no myself. Be sure to watch out, and be ready to remove him if he gets grumpy. That being said, the one community betta I did have did great with platies. Just do not get another fish with long fins.

A female betta should get along with nearly everything.
In my 10g, the neons stay low and the zebra danios stay high. Its a good mix. (check sig below for specifics)
