It says non-toxic. Hmmmm, it's heavy, bendable, and metallic. If not lead, just what are these things made out of?
Do you know?

Typically these plant weights are made of zinc nowadays, but there are still a few that are made of lead. I've used plants weights (could be leaded) in my shrimp tanks without any adverse effects. I think even if it was made out of lead, there wouldn't be great concern as long as you do your weekly waterchanges.

just don't rub it with your hands for a long time or put it in your mouth, and wash your hands after touching them. you can actually get zinc poisoning as well, its just harder and not as dangerous.

I was actualy looking at those the other day. First thought was along the lines of "I don't give #$%# if the do say non-toxic I wouldn't put them in my tank"... maybe I'm just over cautious... but better safe than sick/dead fish.
