Filtered (spray bar), hardly any water changes, heated to 22c

Curious to whether a pair of something could survive, i'm sure there must be some sort of similar conditions in the wild

Depends.

That looks like green water and algae to me, which isn't that bad and occurs a lot in the wild. However, with little water changes the DOCs, TDS, and nitrates -- read POLLUTION -- are probably through the roof and not many animals can survive pollution.

If something could survive in there would depend on what was in there in the first place and just how bad the readings really are.

How about some readings? :D

Why no water changes? And if you can barely see the fish why add them?

Snails will probably do okay in there.

Maybe a bass?

Snails would go to town in there.
