Cleaning Aquarium Stand

I have a 55g with a black stand ....it is made out of some sort of plastic. The problem I am having is cleaning the stand. I tried to use a wash cloth on it and all it did was make it look worse. It left little fuzzies on the plastic. How do you guys clean this stuff?

Try using a lint free cloth.

as long as it's just a stand, have you tried paper towels and pledge? or windex? those might clean shiny black plastic without leaving big streaks.

It isnt a shiny plastic, it is rough, kinda like sandpaper....my tv is made out of the same stuff i think.
