Okay this may be a totally lame question. Then again is there such thing.
How does one target feed a frogspawn? or any other coral for that matter.
I try to make sure that when I feed mysis I use a turkey baster and squirt some in the sweepers of the coral. Only issue is that there happens to be two clowns that won't leave the coral and manage to eat anything that gets shot that way. So bad that the larger clown almost sucks at the tip of the baster and goes crazy when she sees it. I also feed bioplankton and coral plankton about 2-3 times a week diluted in tank water and then added to the tank. Should this be squirted with the turkey baster to the gsp and galaxia and frogspawn???????

Yes. You can also try feeding after lights out--many of the corals will have their sweepers out and be able to feed without the competition from the sleepinng clowns. You can also try offering some larger bits-a frozen food like Formula One is good, or chopped raw fish works as well, as may provide large enough pieces that the clowns can't take them but the corals can.

how do you get the corals to eat them. Do you just mix it in the water and squirt it into the sweepers? The mouths of the frogspawn are hidden in the sweepers. These retract at night and you can see the mouth then.....

Pretty much--break up the chunks, swirl in water, suck the water and food into a baster, and gentle squirt it towards the tentacles close to the mouth. The tentacles are sticky, and the corals can move the food to it's mouth pretty quickly.

Well that is what I have been doing so I guess they may be getting something...that is if the clownfish don't get it first. Does each head of the frogspawn have it's own mouth? If one mouth gets food does it feed the whole thing? I know there is one mouth that gets food, the others are not that easy to reach....or find amongst the sweepers

Try turning off your pumps as well for a bit. If the fish are really persistent, cover the coral with a salad strainer or something similiar for a little while.

Each head has its own mouth, but with frogspawn you don't have to worry as much about feeding it as a sun coral, for example. It'll do fine if your lights are up to the task.

my clowns steal food too. I alternate squirts. One squirt to a coral, one squirt in the corner for the clownfish, one squirt for another coral etc etc etc.

For some reason my clownfish like the "freshly squirted" so one squirt just isn't enough. Just remember to keep the squirts small ;)

This is funny in a way. My large clownfish goes crazy when she sees the baster, she basically gloms her mouth over the end and attacks it. It is quite comical but she is also a pig. The smaller clown is hosting in the frogspawn and won't leave it more than about 3 inches away. I have been squirting a few mysis into the sweepers and will continue to do that and hope that the fs gets a couple. I have mh lights and it gets really good light plus I also feed bioplankton a couple times a week to the tank.
