Hatchet Fish and Ich

Whats the deal lately? Every LFS I go to and the superstores all have hatchet fish with ich. I used to have these guys years ago and never had a problem with them but lately it seems there all sick. Have they gone the way of the Khuli Loach and are just not worth buying anymore?
 
Maybe all your local stores get their fish from the same source and that source is shipping ick infested fish?

I see healthy nice hatchetfish quite regularly here in Alabama.

But you do have me curious about the kuhli loaches since I have noticed that they are so uncommon now and were one of my favorites as a kid. Right now I have a few brown ones, but am under strict orders from my wife to buy any and all striped ones I find if I ever see them again.
 
The Khulis almost always seem to come with some sort of a parasit now. If you get some quarentine them. Just do a search for them on here and youll come up with a bunch of thread on the problems people are haveing.

I would think that about the hatchet fish also as almost every LFS around in connecticut get there fish from the same distributor but even the ones at Petco and Patsmart look like c*ap and I know Petco's in CT get there stock from Virgina
