Hey I am a FOWLR guy but I bought this rock for $10 sold as red eyes porites... they are red, look like a type of feather dusters, there are 1 split in the middle, when closed they leave a small "stick" lookin thing with small "thorn" lookin things at the end... there are like 5 on the rock...
Any ID? Care? Should they be by high current or low current?
I can't feed them b/c they go in there hole when I go to the tank.
Appreciate it all.
Bobby

You might google around for christmas tree worms. They look like your description and live in porites coral. If the coral is still alive, it will do best with intense light and good water motion. The worms are filter feeders, and I believe survive mostly on phytoplankton. They may also do OK on small bits of detritus left over from food, but it will probably be a good idea to find a source for DTs or Reed Mariculture products.
