Lonely Ram + Impulse Buy = Bad Aquarist

I'm sooo ashamed. Been contemplating a pair of kribs or rams for my community tank for a while, though not done too much research on either. At the LFS the other night and they had 1 Ram. Beautiful little guy/girl. See, can't even sex the thing! So I buy it (I'm not an impulse buyer either), did a little more research, I think it's a she, but I'm worried about it being single. Will it be o.k.? Should I get another a.s.a.p.? Do they have to be opposite sex? All the threads in the search I did refer to pairs...

It'll be fine by itself. If it gets timid, another may help, but it isn't going to die or anything of loneliness.

As previously said he will be fine by himself, but will probably be more secure if you ad a couple or few more dwarfs such as any Apistogramma.
