well, I posted a pic of this tank somewhere here, can't remember where.......I put it in the cichlid section because it has...believe it or not....2 pairs of cull quality, year old blue rams....here's the story..........

The blue ram spawn I raise last year about this time, threw off 5 ugly little runty shrunkin bellied tail draggin culls....the sort of thing you feed to your betta......well, my bettas were fed well enough and I didn't really want to "OFF" them.....so I tossed them into a 2 gallon "Explorer" tank I had running as a "sick/quarenteen" tank of sorts. I figured that they would just die on thier own and I'd be rid of them........well, one did, but the other 4 have actually thrived in that little tank, which at the time, didn't have much in it but some ugly gravel and a few fake plants.

Well, about 6 months go by and they're still hanging around so I decide to do up the 2 gallon as a planted for them...I don't have any tank that I want to put these guys in..and I'm not going to spend any money on them....

Well, I love the way this tank looks now....and apparently the rams love it too.....because, I found out I have 2 pairs that have each staked out one side of the tank for themselves....with the driftwood between them....and......the ugly little wretches have actually SPAWNED on me !!! LOL ! They have beautiful coloring BTW......gorgeous little fish for all thier stunted ugliness.....but don't worry......the filter has already taken care of one batch.....the other batch is behind the driftwood, but I imagine the filter will get those too...I HOPE !!!

Anyway, here's the tank........I'm sure I'll get all kinds of hate posts about keeping rams in a 2 gallon tank......they were supposed to DIE !

OH...BTW.....I do NOT recommend keeping rams in a 2 gallon tank !! So don't ! It seems to be working out for these little rejects, but it's certainly not ideal......please don't ever do anything like this on purpose...I didn't !

Other inhabitants in this tank are, 3 ghost shrimp and a cluster of freshwater clams. The filter on this tank is AWSOME ! Best I've ever had ! It's an inhood setup and works great ! A VERY low maintenance tank...surprisingly !

No....not at all......normal healthy rams need at least 10 gallons..and that's just for one ram. The best starting off point for a pair of rams IMO is a 20long...at least !

The rams I have in mine never were healthy....or normal for that matter. Just some culls I didn't have the heart to "dispatch"...
