He was just fine this morning. Although I did notice a perfect little tear in his tail. Like it was cut in the middle. Went to the store, then I noticed he was just staying in one spot, and kind of wobbling.(Don't know how to describe it.) And his tail looked almost shredded. It looked like someone cut it almost into fringe. Then he darted to the bottom of the tank head first and layed there on his side. Then he would try to swim up and do it again. 'Til he died. Could this have been fin rot? Or maybe the other guppies?

I had 4 of 6 origional guppies die like this.
Don't know what killed them over about 3 weeks
I had one boy and one girl left. I now have about 40 or 50 maybe more guppies! And these 2 are extreamly healthy.
Don't worry about it too much it might not have been anything you did.

Was he kept with other male guppies? Male guppies can be agressive towards each other, especially if they dont have enough room, so they might have bullied him until he died. What other fish do you have in the tank?

With him, there were 7 male guppies and 3 glass fish. I started out with 3 males, but 2 of them were bullying one. So, I was told they do better in groups of 6 or more, so I went and got the other 4. They aren't aggressive anymore, though. They school together.(It's neat.) They also play in the current from the pump. Like I said, he was fine when I left. An hour later, his tail was split in alot more than one place. So, I don't understand.

Hmmm...that is a mystery. Just don't stress over it, forget about it. Or if you are really keen on finding out the problem, go to your LFS and ask.

Well, I have 2 guppies both staying on the bottom of the tank. It's strange. I hope they'll be alright. But I lost one more, so I only have 5 left now. I'm calling lfs tomorrow.
