I have some guppies and want to add a betta. Are these two fish compatable? I have a 30g tank. 3 male guppies, and 6 female. 1 dwarf garromi, 1 black ghost knife, and 1 pleco.
thats a risk. Bettas arnt to frienly :( :(

Nope, the Betta would be nipped to death or chase after the Guppies, seeing them as competition.

hmmmmm i wouldnt risk it, ive read that mlae bettas mistake guppies as other male bettas and well... Things could get messy
FYI, your pleco and your BGK need a much larger tank ASAP! 30g is not suitable for one of them, much less both.

It is not recommended for bettas to be put in with guppies or gouramis.
Thanks bitsy, off subject however, but thanks for keeping me honest. I'm in the proscess of purchasing a 150 soon.
Every body else, thank you for the speedy replies. I will not go the betta with the guppies, and perhaps get a 10g just for the Betta, and maybe some corys.
