So I was hoping to prove to people that you don't end up with a lot of fish loss when you do a fishless cycle... Unfortunately with my first fish I got ich and columnaris :( . Ok so I'm well into the treatment and should be done by next week sometime. Once I give it time to clear the meds out (I got some carbon for the maracyn) what should I add?

I was thinking a requirement is adding 1-2 more female guppies, and 2-3 more Oto's.

My observation of the tank is the guppies swim everywhere, not necessarily just the top. The rams are pretty much bottom dwellers. I would rather not add any more rummies as I no longer trust the store I got them from (the cause of all my health problems, though I didn't actually lose any of them).

So what do you think?
I was thinking something that would primarily be top layer, like a small school of hatchetfish? Or a middle layer - small school of cardinals?

Or other suggestions?

Edit: In case anyone cares: ammonia: 0, nitrite: 0, nitrate: 0 (plants)
