I have about 13 baby red velvet swordtails that are about 8 months old and are starting to mature. I have noticed recently that some of them are getting very light in color, to an orange and almost silvery white on the bottom. One of them, a male, I found dead last week. Some of them are still keeping the dark red color solid, so I am not sure what is going on. Are they sick? Is this normal? Both the parents were solid dark red so I am worried as to what might be wrong with them. HELP!!!
